The delicious smell of pancakes filled the air in the Pre-Prep on Shrove Tuesday as Mrs Whitehead made pancakes with over 150 boys. She was extremely impressed with their egg breaking and whisking skills. They had obviously done this before!
They really celebrated Shrove Tuesday in style and the boys loved dashing up and down the hall, relay racing against each other whilst flipping their pancakes.
There was certainly some competition between the staff as they demonstrated how high into the air they could flip their pancakes! The bursar will be relieved that the ceiling was just too high and remained unscathed!

Pancake mixture
110g/4oz plain flour, sifted pinch of salt 2 eggs 200ml/7fl oz milk mixed with 75ml/3fl oz water 50g/2oz butter
