Year 1 Trip to Brooklands

Posted: 20th January 2016

Last week Year 1 visited the Brooklands Museum, birthplace of British motorsport and aviation. Our boys had the chance to see a wide range of racing cars, motorcycles, bicycles and aircraft.  They compared changes in technology through a fun guided tour. They explored old London buses and were amazed to see the original Chitty Chitty Bang Bang! They rode a penny-farthing and some even got to try out David Coulthard’s (stationary) racing car.  Another highlight was climbing up inside the first Concorde produced in Britain and imagining we were flying at twice the speed of sound. Everyone agreed it was a fantastic day out.
