Year 2 Victorian Day

Posted: 23rd November 2016

Last Friday the boys in Year 2 travelled back in time to the Victorian era. The boys experienced first-hand what life was like in school and in a Victorian household.

They were taught Victorian lessons, enjoyed dressing up as chimney sweeps and pick pockets to name but a few and learnt about a range of artefacts in a ‘Homes’ workshop. The day concluded with a rather strict assembly with Mrs Whitehead, where fingernails were checked, a Dunce’s hat was handed out and the Lord’s Prayer had to be recited.

The boys thoroughly enjoyed the day although some did find the regime rather strict!

A sigh of relief on Monday morning when the boys came in to find their classrooms and teachers back to normal!
