Year 2 "Mini-Engingeer" Workshop

The power of Lego came to Year 2 on Wednesday with a visit from the ‘Mini Engineers ILab’! The boys were thrilled to work in teams to create their own London landscapes and design new and old iconic landmarks. As “Mini-Engineers” they were able to apply a wide range of skills, including interpreting 2D and 3D diagrams, following a series of instructions, using spatial awareness as well as collaborating and cooperating with others. It was a fantastic way for the boys to bring their topic ‘Bright Lights, Big City’ to life in brick form, and who knows, perhaps even inspire the next Isambard Brunel…
