Year 1 visit to Crystal Palace Park

Posted: 26th September 2017

Last week, Year 1 visited Crystal Palace Park to see the recently renovated dinosaur models created by Benjamin Waterhouse Hawkins. Armed with their homemade dinosaur sandwiches, the boys eagerly boarded the minibuses ready for their adventure! Following their picnic, the boys were full of shock and awe as they came face to face with the dinosaurs. The sheer size of the models caused excitement as the boys took pencil to paper to sketch their favourite ones. They enjoyed learning about the differences between Victorian interpretations of the prehistoric creatures and the most recent scientific discoveries which have shed a more accurate light on the dinosaurs. If you’re looking for dinosaur experts, the Year 1 boys should be your first port of call!
