Lower School Lego Clubs

Posted: 26th September 2017

This year, the importance of progress is a focus for school. This is true of club activities too. In Year 3, the boys begin Lego club with time to ‘free style’ individually or in pairs. As the year progresses, they will start to be set building challenges to foster skills of problem solving and tap into their creativity in this media.

In Year 4, the boys then begin to work with ‘Lego WeDo’. This technical Lego initially requires the boys to follow instructions to create a robot like machine. These can then be linked via Bluetooth to an app on their iPad. The app allows the boys to programme movement sequences for the robot and watch amazed as their creation comes to life.
