Year 4 Fun on the Farm

Posted: 17th May 2017

Feeding the chickens, walking the goats, making organic pizza, collecting and sorting the eggs, making a mud bath, watering the crops, den building, the campfire, playing games, singing, the food miles game, having a sleep over, feeding the pigs…

The list of highlights recalled by the boys on their return to school after their residential trip was seemingly endless.

The boys spent two nights away at Magdalen Farm near Chard in Dorset. The farm experience ensured a wonderful combination of outdoor activities accompanied with a steady stream of information about organic farming and sustainable living. This combined with the fact that for many it was their first experience of a school residential trip ensured that the three days will live vividly in their memories for many years to come.
