Year 3 Roman Day

Posted: 7th November 2017

On the last Friday of half term, the mighty Year 3 Roman Army roared once more. This time the boys enjoyed using their Roman shields, marching to Mary Datchelor calling out their warrior chants. Once there they showed off the intricate Roman army formation manoeuvres. Their day then continued back at school with a carousel of activities, including; Roman solider peg making, designing and creating floor mosaics, fort building and finally the boys enjoyed a quick spell in Latin school! Perfecting tortoise formation and wedge drills gave our fearsome soldiers a hearty appetite. The Roman banquet was a truly fantastic sight, with the boys digging into a spectacular finger feast. Bring on the Vikings next term!
