On Saturday Hamish, Shaan, Finlay, Andreas and Sebastian from the year 6 swim squad attended the English Schools Primary Team Championships. The boys were in awe of the size of the competition, with hundreds of swimmers on poolside and over 1000 spectators. The competition began with a parade of representatives around the pool from each school and then standing to attention during the National Anthem.
The boys all swam exceptionally well with both teams qualifying through to the A final in Freestyle and Medley. In extremely tight finishes, with some outstanding swims from all the boys in the finals, we came 4th in the Medley and 5th in the freestyle.
Well done to all the boys: 4th and 5th nationally is a fantastic achievement.
