Grandparents Coffee Morning

Posted: 24th April 2018

Last Friday, the Year 1 boys had the pleasure of inviting their grandparents/senior citizens for a Coffee Morning. As part of Poetry Week, they were asked to bring in a poem from their childhood to read to the boys. The visitors were treated to wonderful musical performances by each class, ranging from Frère Jacques on the bells to songs about the School Tribes. Finally, the visitors and the boys shared pastries and biscuits over tea, coffee and juice. The boys loved listening to a great variety of poems and were full of smiles escorting their guests around their classrooms, showing off all they had learnt during Poetry Week.
