Charity Cake Sale on Friday

Posted: 6th February 2018

As part of Children’s Mental Health Week, all boys from Years 1-8 are invited to bring in cakes for the cake sales that will be taking place in school at various points of the day on Friday 9th February to raise money for Place2Be, the in-school counselling service who work with us here at Dulwich Prep. Please check the mailing from your Head of Section so that you know where and when your son’s cake sale will be.

One in 10 children aged between 5 and 16 has to deal with a mental health issue at some point but a wealth of evidence indicates that children are less likely to suffer from serious mental health difficulties in later life if they receive support at an early age.

Not all children are as fortunate as our boys and such provision may not be readily accessible, so all of the money we raise on Friday will be donated to the charity, to benefit those children in need of support.

Thank you in advance for your support and generosity in baking or buying, we hope that a small gesture from our children will make a big difference to someone else.
