Year 4 Greek Day

Posted: 6th March 2020

The Year 4 boys delighted in their Greek Day just before half term. With workshops lead by a presenter from ‘Portals of the Past’ the boys continued to explore ‘All things Greek’ including the myths and legends of the culture, Greek democracy and a chance to try their hand at the Stomachion Puzzle. Possibly the highlight of the day was learning about the weapons and armour of the Greek and enjoying a practical workshop on these, the Olympic Games and Greek theatre. And, of course, the final mention should go to the Greek food enjoyed at lunchtime. A very busy day made all the more memorable with the boys dressed so marvellously in a variety of Greek costumes from soldiers to a minotaur and Medusa! Thank you for your support of this event.
