Year 6 DT Project

Posted: 6th February 2020

DT-5

Mr Irvin’s year 6 DT class had the opportunity to use a Dyson Engineering Kit For Schools last term.  This included a Dyson Cool fan that they could disassemble and a set of instructional and interactive videos about the design process and the life of a design engineer.  With their new found knowledge on how to approach an engineering task the boys carefully examined an everyday object.  In groups, they then re-designed these objects for the 21st century and created prototype models which they explained to their peers.

The designs were all really impressive, imaginative and very carefully thought out and constructed.  Well done engineers of the future!
