Switch Off Fortnight

Posted: 4th December 2019

Over the past two weeks, pupils across The Prep have been involved with the ‘Switch Off Fortnight’ campaign.  Our aim was to raise awareness and significantly reduce our energy usage.  In each section, Eco club boys presented to their peers providing thought-provoking facts and figures as well as providing useful information on how to change our behaviour when it comes to saving energy.

Pupils from Eco club completed energy audits across the school site and their findings show that there was a 61% decrease in the amount of electrical outputs left on since the campaign started. Great results! We hope that everyone will continue to make our school more eco-friendly and enable us to use less energy. We are now well on our way to becoming a ‘Green Flag School’.
