4L Class Assembly

Posted: 16th October 2019

Did you know that Ojibwas and Chippeways are actually the same tribe? Or that Deerfeet wasn’t a tribe but referred to a barefoot runner? Or have you ever considered why the school chose these characters to be the names for the tribes? If not then it is unfortunate that you were not all able to come to watch the superb 4L class assembly. All the questions and much more were confidently presented to a captivated audience. The boys not only gave information about the four tribe names but also how the values of the Native American people link to our own school values. At the assembly of the day, the message of love and teamwork rang out loud as the boys sang how they will ‘get by with a little help from their friends’.
