All things Greek in Year 4

Posted: 13th February 2019

The Year 4 boys delighted in their Greek Day on Tuesday. With workshops led by a presenter from ‘Portals of the Past’, the boys continued to explore ‘All things Greek’ including the myths and legends of the culture, Greek democracy and a chance to try their hand at the Stomachion Puzzle. Possibly the highlight of the day was learning about the weapons and armour of the Greeks and enjoying a practical workshop on these, the Olympic Games and Greek theatre. Of course, the final mention should go to the Greek food enjoyed at lunchtime. The day was made all the more memorable by the boys dressed so marvellously in a variety of Greek costumes from soldiers to a minotaur and Medusa!
