Family Book Club author visit

Posted: 30th January 2019

book-club-2

The first-ever meeting of the Dulwich Prep Family Book Club took place in our new Dining Hall on Tuesday night.  The chosen book was Wed Wabbit, the Carnegie Medal and Costa Award shortlisted book by Lissa Evans, and around 80 boys, siblings, parents and grandparents had read it in preparation for the meeting.

Fortified by delicious cakes, the participants discussed different aspects of the book and engaged in Wed Wabbit-related activities such as writing rhyming couplets, drawing Wimbley Woos and colouring name labels to signify their own personality traits.  The highlight for everyone however, was that the author was on hand to tell us about her inspiration for the book, answer lots of questions and sign everyone’s books!
