Traditional Tales at the Early Years

Posted: 25th September 2018

On Friday, the Reception boys all dressed up for our Traditional Tales Dress Up Day.  There were Gingerbread men, Knights, Gruffalos, Cowboys, Dragons, Fantastic Mr Foxes, and even a whale and a snail.  The Reception teachers treated the whole of the Early Years to a special performance of the Three Little Pigs which the children loved.

The classes all rotated, enjoying four different activities; gingerbread biscuit decorating, making houses out of straw, clay and bricks, making (Goldilocks and the 3) bear masks and planted beans.

To finish off the wonderful day, Mrs Burtonshaw read Pinocchio to all the boys and talked about the different ways in which the characters solved their problems.
