Year 2 Explorers Day

Posted: 20th March 2018

On Monday, Year 2 visited Dulwich College where they were given a tour of historical artefacts relating to Sir Ernest Henry Shackleton. As well as viewing historical paintings and photographs, the boys were thrilled to have an up-close viewing and guided tour of Shackleton’s lifeboat, the ‘James Caird’. The boys then embarked on their Explorers Day in the grounds of the Early Years site on Gallery Road. Following their study of Charles Darwin, the boys explored the fields and woodland using their observational skills they hunted for living creatures. Later in the morning, the boys took part in team-building games and challenges. A fun and rather muddy day was had by all!
