Early Years celebrate Holi

Posted: 15th March 2017

On Monday we celebrated the Hindu festival of Holi at The Early Years. This is a celebration to welcome in the arrival of spring and to commemorate stories within Hindu Mythology.

It takes place over two days when special food is eaten, a bonfire is made and when you can throw bright paint over all your friends – which is exactly what we did in our Assembly.

We set up tarpaulins in the hall with special canvases to throw the paint at, and the brave Mr Berry, Mr Wilson, Mr Preston and Miss Duncan donned white suits and were decorated by the powder paint that the children threw.

Thanks go particularly to Mrs Khandeval and Mrs Yadav for their help in co-ordinating all the excitement!
