Well done to the U11 Football Team

Posted: 14th September 2016

Our under 11’s had their first run out of the season at the Shrewsbury House under 11 tournament.

Despite the early season cobwebs, the boys displayed some outstanding football skills and showed a very clear understanding of how the game should, and could, be played.  Their passing was crisp, their movement on the field was well thought out and their control of the game belied the fact that it was a first run out.  They finished the group stages with one draw and one win which saw them progress into the quarter finals where they met Rokeby.  The boys once again controlled the game and the 1-0 victory score line did not tell the full story.

They then met a very good Cumnor House side in the semi-finals where an early goal by Cumnor proved to be enough in the shortened format of the game.  Well done to all the boys who took part.  You all gave a very good account of yourselves.
