Magic in the Pre-Prep

Posted: 2nd March 2016

Last week Pre-Prep children and parents of 1C were treated to a special performance of Mozart’s opera, The Magic Flute.  At the end of the performance, Mrs Whitehead praised their energy, stage presence and obvious enjoyment.

The singing from all the children was ‘magical’ as was the musical accompaniment, and the audience were kept on the edge of their seats as they followed the drama which surrounded Prince Tamino and his bird-like friend, Papageno.

The boys finished their project on the Magic Flute, proud of their exceptional performance and happy with their new found interest in music and opera.  Most of all, the boys created a memory which will hopefully stay with them throughout their time in the Prep:  ‘I performed an Opera when I was 6…’
