The inaugural Year 7 and 8 Lego Club was delighted to hear that one of our parents generously donated the wonderful ‘Lego Creator Tower Bridge’ to the school. The set consists of 4295 pieces, including 80 windows and 556 tiny tan angled pieces, so it was quite a task putting it all together.
William, Redmond and Conan were more than ready for the challenge and spent numerous Wednesday afternoon sessions building the bridge. They survived sections collapsing, having to move the bridge in and out of rooms each week, bags of bricks being dropped on the floor, discovering some pieces seemed to be missing, (those last two things are possibly related!) before putting the final bricks in place at the end of January.
The completed Tower Bridge has been taken to be displayed in Early Years to complement their London Landmarks topic.
The boys have their fingers crossed that more challenging sets will be heading their way so any donations would be very welcome, topping the wish list is Big Ben!
